Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.

The Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation (LAHTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving, restoring and sustaining the operation of Southern California’s historic theatres.
Founded in 1987 by the creators of the LA Conservancy's first Last Remaining Seats series and officially registered by the State of California in 1988, the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation is chartered to address the complex challenges of theatre preservation - including ownership, management, programming, preservation, education and advocacy.
This organization values the history of Los Angeles Theaters for good reason. These theaters are relics from "The Golden Era" in film. The architecture and grandiose nature of these theaters is something to see. LAHTF is protecting that history while making it accessible to us today. The volunteer program is organized and the directors are very nice. I would definitely volunteer again.
