Mission Statement

The North Texas History Center discovers, preserves, and shares our North Texas heritage with present and future generations through its museums and programs.

Description

The Collin County Historical Society was first organized in 1957 by Captain Roy F. Hall. The original organization was formalized in 1984 when the Society received 501(c)3 status as a nationally-recognized not-for-profit organization. The Collin County Historical Society changed its name to the North Texas History Center to better reflect its mission in February of 2007.

Collin County is the fastest-growing county in the state and one of the fasting growing in America. NTHC is prepared to serve a rapidly expanding population and do it with vigor and excellence.
