Mission Statement

The Army Corps of Engineers is the steward of the lands and waters at Corps water resources projects. Its Natural Resource Management Mission is to manage and conserve those natural resources, consistent with ecosystem management principles, while providing quality public outdoor recreation experiences to serve the needs of present and future generations.

Description

We have various programs, activities and accomplishments. We manage our public lands consistant with the best natural resource management practices of the day. We observe and manage over 8 Bald Eagle Nest, several osprey nest, and also work to remove many invasive species from Falls Lake and land around it. Since Falls Lake is the primary source of drinking water for Raleigh and parts of Wake Forest, NC, it is also important to us to keep this water source clean.
