Mission Statement

The mission of our program is to protect the health, safety, welfare and rights of both nursing home and adult home residents throughout NYC’s five boroughs. We are a federally mandated program that trains volunteers to become state certified ombudsmen.

Description

Our Ombudsmen respond to complaints by visiting their designated facility, observing levels of care and working with facility staff and residents. We work to promote quality of life and maintain a high standard of care in New York City’s long term care facilities.
