The goal of Guitars not Guns is to help prevent violence in schools and on the streets by providing foster kids and at-risk youth with focus and self-actualization. We aim to empower them with the most fundamental tool to succeed: Belief in oneself

Description

Guitars not Guns (GnG) is a tax exempt 501 (c) 3 children's music charity; we are not anti-gun; we are anti-gun violence. Nationally we have been serving at-risk and underprivileged youth since 2000. We are a community based organization that provides these youth a positive alternative to the self-destructive behaviors of substance abuse, truancy, crime, and gangs. Currently we have a DC Chapter. We are working to restart our Maryland and Virginia Chapters. We need a team of non profit building volunteers.
