Description

Help uninsured, low income clients at free clinic to complete forms for free medications. May work directly with clients or do clerical/computer work to support the program.

BCHIP Adult Health Clinic provides free primary health care to indigent, uninsured residents of our county. The majority of our patients are working, but have no medical insurance and cannot afford to purchase their prescription medications. Our program helps patients get their medication by assisting them with applications to special programs sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. Most of our patients have no other way to receive their medications and maintain control over serious health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or asthma. Our program helps keep people healthy and out of the hospital, as well as helping to prevent complications such as heart attacks and stroke.
