Mission Statement

Urban Oasis cultivates a healthy, resilient, and prosperous community by strengthening the local food system and increasing access and enjoyment of nutritious, affordable, sustainably grown food.

Description

Urban Oasis is rooted in community, strengthening the local food system that cultivates community health and economic prosperity through sustainable strategies. We are now officially a 501(c)3.

The big vision for Urban Oasis is to be a place where people can come and experience what it feels like to be part of and participate in a whole, healthy food system from seed to table and back to soil. The programs put on by Urban Oasis aim to provide ways for people to achieve better health, a greater sense of connectedness, and more economic prosperity.

Programs include community cooking classes, healthy food products, a sustainable, local catering program, childcare meal service, and education for sustainable food entrepreneurs. Through our programs and partnerships, Urban Oasis hopes to have a positive impact on our community, our food production, and our world.
