Mission Statement

The Bodie Hills Conservation Partnership is a coalition of organizations working toward the permanent protection of the Bodie Hills, an American treasure with exceptional scenic, historic and recreational values.

We are working to create a healthy, sustainable future for the Bodie Hills that combines conservation and access, honors tradition and promotes the region's scenic beauty, while protecting this special place from the boom and bust abuse of mining.

Description

We are a conservation focused coalition with one full time employee. We can not fulfll our mission without volunteers. Our focus is 188,000 acres of public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management. We have a vision for a National Monument or similar designation to protect the many values in this beautiful & treasured landscape. We are located in the Eastern Sierra on the edge of the Great Basin, aproximately 30 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Join us!
