Nurturing the wellbeing of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in inner- city London by creating happy memories through:

Sports activities, encouraging team work
Healthy eating initiatives
Expressing their thoughts and feelings through arts
Educational and inspiring trips


Three values underpin everything we do at Solidarity Sports:

Compassion
We accept people as they are. We are non-judgmental.

We listen to our children. We heed their thoughts, and then act.

Love is not corny. We all need it in abundance.

We strongly believe that

Partaking in sports is a right, not a privilege
Mistakes are natural - children deserve patience
Private parks should not exist - make them public
Society has a responsibility to raise healthy, happy children

Description

Solidarity Sports was founded in 2007 to provide access to sports and healthinitiatives for marginalised communities, in disadvantaged areas of London. Our management committee came together because of a shared understanding that children can develop valuable life skills by playing sports.

This understanding inspires everything we do.
