Mission Statement

The Genesis Foundation for Children, a New England based non-profit organization, provides funding for the diagnosis and compassionate, coordinated care of children born with physical and intellectual disabilities, and genetic disorders. The Genesis Foundation’s vision is that all children born with these challenges receive the care necessary to achieve their full potential.

The Genesis Foundation for Children was formed to provide funding for children with special needs. We strive to ensure these children, who often have multiple disabilities, receive not only expert medical care but also coordinated comprehensive care.

Comprehensive care includes making referrals to the best medical specialists, coordinating multiple appointments, organizing therapeutic programs in local communities, and having sufficient time to answer the many questions that parents have regarding their child’s condition and care.

This is not an easy task to accomplish. Most of these services are not covered by insurance or third party payers, and they are very costly. To cover these costs The Genesis Foundation raises money through special events, corporate giving, and personal donations.

The Feingold Center for Children innovated a system for coordinating multiple appointments so that the patients are seen by more than one specialist at the same visit. Satellite clinics have been established in various New England communities, thus limiting the need for these families to make frequent trips to Boston.
