The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Kane and Kendall Counties is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Our vision is that all children achieve success in life. We partner with parent/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community to hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving higher aspirations, great confidence, better relationships, avoidance of risky behaviors, and educational success.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Kane and Kendall Counties serves children throughout our service area who are in need of extra guidance, friendship, and support. Youth ages 6 to 12 are matched to a professionally screened, training, and matched volunteer from the community. Their goal is to develop a positive relationship that has a lasting, positive impact on the child. For over 30 years we have provided these caring and consistent friendships to kids in need. Volunteers and parent/guardians work closely with the support and guidance of our highly trained staff of child development professionals.
