Mission Statement

Clic Abroad engages youth, schools, entrepreneurs, and enviro/social leaders in both U.S. & India. We co-document and facilitate creative interactions between rural indiginous villagers, especially youth, and youth leaders from the U.S. in both on-site and virtual environments. We intend to fine-tune and grow a global network that strategizes for the sustainable future of indigenous village cultures as well as demonstrate their valuable ancient knowledge to the rest of the world.

Description

THE SITUATION:

Remote village life in India has immense value and importance to the world. These cultures are a "living museum" with a foundation of ancient indigenous wisdom perhaps more fragile than any endangered species.

If the globalization of remote landscapes and villages goes unattended, disruptions to magnificently tuned ways of life will become distorted and forever fragmented, perhaps beyond repair of it's original balanced integrity.

Is there a way to preserve these cultures for the globe to learn from? We say, YES!

THE SOLUTION:

Creatively network and engage the village youth with their peers around the globe. We do this through practical hands on projects and programs that can be on-site or virtual.

The kids photo document and observe all aspects of village life, and assess the strengths and weaknesses. They also assist with visiting entrepreneurial start-ups to evaluate sustainable technologies and methods that can work in balance with village dynamics--innovative solar or water filtration to name a few. Meanwhile classrooms half-way around the world are interacting and monitoring the process of growing a strong model village fit for future challenges.

The bottom line is villagers discover the kind of ingenuity that can sustain their future before globalization knocks on the hut door ready to exploit or abolish there rightful habitats and ancient culture.

These ancient societies are masterful at thriving within their environment, and have demonstrated a time-tested societal wisdom that could even be integral to the survival of developed societies. Let's make sure they are poised for coping with the speed of development that's rocking everyone's world.

We invite your talent and skills at home or abroad to be a part of our creative and adventurous team. Contact us for the wide array of options.
