"Bigs" and "Littles" meet at school each week during lunch for talking, reading, playing, and building positive relationships. Think BIG! What a difference just ONE hour per week can make!

The BBBS of NYC School-Based Mentoring Program matches volunteers one-to-one with a child in need of a positive role model. Bigs and Littles meet for one hour per week during the school year, where they build a friendship over lunch. Whether the Littles spend the time playing chess, reading books, or just talking to their Bigs, recent research has shown significant improvements in their attitude towards school and self-esteem.
