To revitalize Philmont's Main Street, attract new businesses, and generally promote the community.

Description

Philmont is a small (pop. 1600) village 100 miles north of New York City and 30 miles south of Albany, NY. A former railroad and mill town, it is undergoing a transformation.Philmont's Main Street--a typical Main Street- consists of a central district with store and apartments above. Some newer infill (gas stations) exist. At each end of Main Street, older homes are residential but are zoned for commercial use as for artists, doctors, Web designers, etc.
