Description

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers help older adults in their homes with things they can no longer do for themselves. Volunteers help with such things as light housekeeping, yardwork, minor home repairs

Many older adults need just a little bit of help to remain living independently in their own homes. Sometimes they just need someone to drive them to the doctor, or mow their lawn, or change a lightbulb. Other times frail, elderly adults become lonely and isolated if they are not able to get out and about. Having a friendly visitor stop by once a week or call on the phone makes a big difference in the quality of their life. Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers will call volunteers for one time assignments or match them with a care recipient to make regular, on-going visits. Whether volunteers have 10 minutes or 2 hours a week, there is a place for them!
We can also use volunteers to help assemble newsletters, help design our database, facilitate the caregiver support group, or make presentations to clubs and organizations.
