Do you have a passion for running? Looking for a challenge? The Alzheimer's Association is looking for dedicated runners to join us for the Marine Corps Marathon weekend on October 27th in Washington, DC. If you are passionate about running and equally passionate about supporting the Alzheimer's Association mission: leading the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support; then WE NEED YOU! In 2023, marathon runners across the country competed in Boston, NY, Chicago, LA and the Pittsburgh Marathon collectively raising a few million dollars. Alzheimer's disease is a long and difficult journey, similar to a marathon. It is a beautiful way to honor a loved one, have a healthy outlet from caregiving and encourages self-care. The more runners we can recruit to add MEANING to their MILES, the sooner we will achieve our ultimate goal: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Register for our team at alz.org/nca/events/marine-corps-marathon. Questions, contact Carrie Myatt at cemyatt@alz.org According to race rules, must be 10 years or older and be able to maintain a 20 minute mile. We hope you'll join us!

Are you looking for a meaningful service project? Has your family been impacted by Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia? Are you considering a career in medicine or science? Let's connect! Join the Alzheimer's Association and use your passion to help raise awareness and funds for the fight to end Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia. In the recent past, mitzvah projects have included a Kickball Tournament, Swim-a-thon, cycling, bowling, shoe drive, coffee and donuts to hand out resources. The Alzheimer's Association will be able to assist you before, during and after your BIG day. We've worked with hundreds of participants over the years and helped them channel their creativity and passion and use it as a way to educate their community, raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the local Alzheimer's Association chapter. Email me to schedule a call to see if this is a good fit for you. We are here to help make your mitzvah project fun and rewarding. Note- This opportunity does not involved working directly with seniors. If you are looking for that experience, please connect with your local senior care community and go through their volunteer orientation.
