Do you have a passion for running? Looking for a challenge? The Alzheimer's Association is looking for dedicated runners to join us for the Marine Corps Marathon weekend on October 26th in Washington, DC. If you are passionate about running and equally passionate about supporting the Alzheimer's Association mission: leading the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support; then WE NEED YOU! In 2024, marathon runners across the country competed in Boston, NY, Chicago, LA and the Pittsburgh Marathon collectively raising a few million dollars. Alzheimer's disease is a long and difficult journey, similar to a marathon. It is a beautiful way to honor a loved one, have a healthy outlet from caregiving and encourages self-care. The more runners we can recruit to add MEANING to their MILES, the sooner we will achieve our ultimate goal: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Register for our team at bit.ly/MCMNCA25 Not a runner but want to be part of the day? We also need cheering squads along the route. Questions, contact Carrie Myatt at cemyatt@alz.org According to race rules, must be 10 years or older and be able to maintain a 20 minute mile. We hope you'll join us!
