Mission Statement

Assistance League of Capistrano Valley, is a nonprofit volunteer organization whose members are dedicated to developing and implementing programs to provide humanitarian services in the community.

Description

Founded in 1977, our chapter's volunteers support the students in the elementary and middle schools within the Capistrano Unified School District in south Orange County. In a joint project with other local Assistance League chapters, we also help support the families on the Camp Pendleton Marine Base.

Our philanthropic organization provides many volunteer opportunities to serve the communities of Aliso Viejo, Capistrano Beach, Coto de Caza, Dana Point, Ladera Ranch, Laguna Niguel, Las Flores, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano.

Our main source of funding comes from the Bargain Box, our chapters thrift shop, which is run by our volunteers. The generous donations brought in from our community are sold and the proceeds are used to help the local children and military families stationed at Camp Pendleton.
