Description
Volunteers help to support many "community programs" that help the elderly to remain independent and live in the homes, longer and safer.
Elder Services of the Merrimack Valley is one of thirty non-profit Home Care Agencies, funded by the state of Massachusetts, the Federal Government, and private donations,to bring services to the elderly living in the twenty-three cities and towns in the Merrimack Valley.
We are a clearing househouse for consumer education materials and resource guides. We provide Elder Care Assessment, Advice, and Management via our teams of RNs, Social Workers, and Case Managers. We provide Community Education and Partnerships, and advocate for elder care issues. And finally, we provide a Family Caregiver Support Program, to assist the elderly and their families cope with elder issues.
Volunteers help Elder Services to provide many of these support programs that will allow the elderly to remain independent and live in their homes, longer and safer.
