Friendship is ageless. You are cordially invited to join the friendly visitor program at Sherrill House.

Sherrill House volunteers enrich the lives of our residents, and in turn receive the same friendship and warmth they extend. If you are empathetic, patient, a good listener, and enjoy spending time with older people, Sherrill House can offer a rewarding volunteer experience. Volunteers who can give a minimum of one hour per week are needed for one-to-one visiting, reading and letter-writing for our residents. Volunteers who are fluent in Spanish, Creole and Russian are especially needed to visit with residents with limited fluency in English. Volunteers are also needed to assist our Recreation Department in running group activities for residents.
