Brighten an elder's life through friendship and be the link that connects an elder to the community as a Friendly Visitor.

A volunteer Friendly Visitor provides weekly visits to a homebound elder who has limited social
connections and income. The Friendly Visitor is a key person who brings the world into an
elder's home, engaging in conversation and activities meant to stimulate the elder's mind and
reconnect them to activities and hobbies the elder used to enjoy. Friendly Visitors are often key
people who provide limited transportation to assit the elder getting to a medical appointment or
grocery shopping thus empowering the elder to remain at home and live independently.
