The Eastern Iowa Area Center for Learning in Retirement is an organization of people 50 years of age and older committed to lifelong learning. The Mission of the Center for Learning in Retirement (CLR) is to foster the interests of members 50 years of age and older in continuing education and to provide opportunities for members in study, discussion, fellowship and leadership.
The Center, which is peer led and volunteer driven, offers semester based college level courses taught by volunteer instructors, many of whom are retired themselves.
