Patrick Murphy for Congress

Mission Statement

Congressman Patrick Murphy represents Florida’s 18th Congressional district, which includes St. Lucie, Martin, and northern Palm Beach counties. Prior to coming to Congress, Murphy worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for Deloitte & Touche auditing Fortune 500 companies, before starting his own small business, Coastal Environmental Services, which specializes in disaster relief. Following the BP oil spill, Murphy spent six months in the Gulf of Mexico helping with cleanup efforts.

Congressman Murphy ran for office on a pledge to get things done for this district - and he stands by that pledge, understanding that progress requires bipartisanship. Ranked as one of the most independent-voting members of Congress, Rep. Murphy is dedicated to working with Members from both parties to get things done for the district, the state, and the nation.
