Description

The Andrus Volunteers are actively involved mature adults who provide services and support to the Andrus Gerontology Center and other departments at the University of Southern California.

The Andrus Volunteers make themselves available to the Gerontology Center faculty, students and researchers for a variety of projects. They are also available to assist other departments at the university. Volunteer involvement often includes one-on-one interviews with students and panel discussions in the classroom. Volunteers share information with the community through our speaker's bureau, panel discussions and other projects developed by the Volunteers such as Ageism in the Schools. The Volunteers serve as docents at the Gerontology Center and are able to continue learning about the aging proces through lectures workshops and classes.
