Work with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and other Relatives and the Children they are raising. Opportunities in advocacy, recreation, support, mentoring, networking, tutoring, and new adventures!
Our program offers a flexible schedule and our Volunteer Coordinator is dedicated to finding a good fit between a volunteer's interests and the program's needs.
Lincoln Child Center's Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) is a family-centered supportive resource program for Relative Caregivers and the Kin children they are raising in central, southern, and eastern Alameda County. KSSP is designed to promote healthy, permanent family placements through Information, Referral, Education, Advocacy, Case Management, Support Groups, Recreational activities, and Respite care.
Volunteers are required to complete an interview, application process and have a clear TB test. Long term volunteers must pass a Department of Justice background check. All expenses in the screening process are covered by Lincoln Child Center
