Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
TSR Adventures, Inc. is committed through the combination of individual contributions and public/private partnerships to creating, producing and/or overseeing community based events in which 100% of what the participant raises is returned to benefiting non-profit organizations. In so doing, we act as an avenue for change in the non-profit fundraising community.
Through the events we produce, we will assemble and sustain a group of thoughtful, committed citizens to build relationships and raise funds to positively affect the lives of people, whom the citizens may have never met, and in so doing challenge themselves to stretch the limits of what they thought they could do as an individual.
Transparency: Ensure through open accounting practices that we remain accountable to the community for the monies entrusted to us.
Stewardship: Ensure that the funds raised by participants are treated as a gift from the community by the benefiting agencies and are used by them for direct services to the individuals which they serve.
Empowerment: We invest in the power of human potential by producing events which are personally challenging and rewarding and through attainment of individual goals people are able to benefit the community as a whole.
Collaboration: Work with individuals, benefitting agencies and corporations to build relationships which maximize resources and provide an environment where these relationships result in community changing endeavors which any entity individually could not have created.
The SMART Ride is a 2-day, 165 mile bicycle ride from Miami to Key West to raise money, awareness to better educated, prevent and care for those infected, affected or at risk for HIV/AIDS in Florida.
Our event is a fully supported event, we travel with a medical team, massage therapists, sweep vehicles, sag vehicles, bike techs, gear trucks, rest stop teams, route marking teams, pit closure teams, 18 motorcycle escorts, we provide everything from food to gatorade, from overnight housing in the middle keys to bike parking. Our particpants range in age from 18 to 80 and comprise of both riders and volunteers (crew). Last year we broke a record for the first time and raised over $1Million dollars. We attract over 750 individuals, and had over 10,000 unique donations made to the efforts of those participating.
The most unique feature of The SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride), is that we guarantee that 100% of every dollar the participants raise goes to the benefiting agencies around florida. We do not use one dime of that money to produce the event, but rely heavily on fundraising of our own, sponsorships, sales of store items, registration fees and more.
