Description

Every person, every organization has a story to tell. Our story begins with a small group of people studying the Bible together in 1973. Under the gentle, jovial teaching of Pastor Byron Evans, the study grew into a little congregation that met in the Grange Hall and continued to study together, encourage each other, and grow.

In time, we had grown sufficiently that we were ready for a new hand at the helm and in 1981 Pastor Bud Makus and his wife Sheila were called to continue the good work of Byron and his wife Kathy. Bud's energetic outreach and vision led us eventually to our current location on Bentley Road and along with a change of location came a change of name. We became "Alliance Bible Church" to honor our connection with the Christiand and Missionary Alliance and our emphasis on the Bible as the basis for teaching and growth.

Much has happened in the ensuing years! Buildings have sprung up. New faces have come and become friends and old friends have moved on. But through it all, our desire to honor God, teach clearly from the Bible, and serve the community have been constants.

Recently, we added a new face to our pastoral staff: John Egers and his family. John brings fresh ideas and energy for fulfilling our calling to serve each other and the community.

Ultimately, our story is not really about a building or a place, it's about people and lives changed for the better. And really, it's a story that begins two thousand years ago with the most imporant person of all: Jesus.
