Mission Statement
The mission of VPMA Foundation is to educate, empower, and employ undeserved youth utilizing media arts to engage them to positively transform themselves, their communities, and the world.
Description
PMA Foundation programs are designed to utilize peer outreach to increase student awareness about issues that impact our youth and their families by utilizing media arts. VPMA Foundation’s goal is to educate and impact students to influence responsible behavior and ultimately encourage those students to bring about change in their respective hometowns. The organization’s programs targets youth & families through various outreach activities, workshops, and events which include:
Workshops on test taking - i.e. SAT/ACT preparation classes
Additional leadership/development workshops (as listed in previous summer program section)
College survival workshops - i.e. Managing the transition from high school to college; Managing your finances
Visits from Admissions counselors and Financial Aid advisors who will speak on the admissions and aid process
Researching various colleges and universities
Resume development and submission to colleges and universities
Campus visits

In addition, students will embark on various on-site field trips, have the opportunity to meet and engage with a wide variety of professionals, and obtain hands on skills in a variety of areas with on-site tutors, counselors, and volunteer mentors.
