I volunteered with Active Internationals in Feb earlier this year. I was working with women in a vocational training center, where I was teaching them stitching. I myself love stitching and could relate to their skill development easily. Active Internationals facilitated all our requirements of food, home and internet very nicely. Also, the accompanying person - Nisha was very helpful. It was also fascinating to see different places like Udaipur and Ranathmabore. I too liked the food at the camp and the daily activities with other volunteers. I miss my friend Vivian who came from New Zealand. Overall a great experience and a well managed trip to India. I might come back soon.

Hi, I participated in the short volunteer program with Active Internationals and really enjoyed my stay with them. Although I had roughly 7 days to work on my project, due to shortage of time, it never appeared to me that my work will negatively affect the people. I make picket fence for an animal shelter and could finish it in time including painting it. This fence was made for a new batch of stray dogs to be kept in an animal rescue center. My efforts saved them lots of money. Active Internationals support this project in all ways and means. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable and I saw a lot many places during my trip. Overall a great learning experience. I would love to go back again for more work. Damien

After a lot of consideration I chose India for volunteering. I thank volunteer match for their comprehensive database of volunteer programs in India. I chose Active Internationals, and I am happy to have made that choice. I went for a program in Women Empowerment in Pushkar, which is a holy place for Hindus. It is a great place and I enjoyed my stay there. The people are simple and it is one of the safest places I saw in India. I was assigned to a group of newly married ladies who were learning basics of computing and would then move on to learn computer accounting. Their past education and early marriage kept them away from computer education and initially it was tough for me to communicate. Later with lessons in Hindi, I managed to be the best teacher they had. I am happy to have made a difference in their lives. Best thing was to receive and email from a couple of them. Hurraahhh!!!

I volunteered in the lovely city of Jaipur in the month of February. It believe it was a great decision to volunteer with Active Internationals, not just for the reason that I was comfortable and safe, but for the reason they were in the field of volunteering. Our primary focus was on teaching poor kids from a neighborhood of backward caste. It might sound a bit touchy, but one needs to have a strong heart to be there. We were a group of three girls and were assisted by Giri. He is a fine worker and a very spirited person. We taught these kids rhymes, numbers, addition and subtraction and some English. Over the month we saw a great change in their body language and confidence. That was a great moment that made us overwhelmed. We felt completely safe and were always taken care of by Active. I would recommend them to any volunteer enthusiasts going to India.

Hi, I would thank Active Internationals for thinking different from others. They stressed more on the sustainability of the project than just bringing Volunteers in from different countries. Great work by these people. They kept all of us engaged, active and comfortable. The best part of the service was - being cared yet not being pampered like little kids. The fun activities were absolute fun, and I picked a lot of Hindi. Food was just out of the world. Thank you Active Internationals -- there is bright future for you.

We were a groups of 6 people (5 girls & a guy) from Columbia, U.S. It was an incredibly amazing month of my life with Active Internationals. Spent about 30 days in India. While volunteering for a deprived community centre in Jaipur, I honestly never got myself so satisfied ever before in life. Teaching little kids and helping the ladies in constructing their houses was the best thing I could ask for. During our stay, we travelled to Agra, Udaipur & Goa. Special thanks to Kuldeep for being the best guide through-out our program. He was humble, Very good in English, "A YOGA MASTER" & a dear friend. Not even once did we think that the organization has compromised with our safety. We travelled in clean & good vehicles, stayed at decent accommodation & I fell in love with India Food (Thanks to Sushma - our cook). For anyone willing to visit India, It is my personal recommendation to participate in Active Internationals programs

I have already written a review about them on a different portal, and recently received an email to write a review here. Usually people would not write reviews again and again, but I am very happy to write for them. I strongly recommend their work, and appreciate the way they have used the concept of volunteer travel to get to the best community programs and support them with fine planning and sustainable approach. I volunteered in the Jaipur Women Empowerment Program and I am happy that the ladies became very confident after our efforts. I would love to call volunteers from around the world to go to India, and see a very culturally rich and diverse country. It is definitely worth a visit. I felt completely safe there, and Active team made it a point to extract the best services out of me for the community. You might be their guest, but at the program you have to be a dedicated volunteer.
