Description

Experience Corps - Durham volunters are trained to use documentary methods in local classrooms as a way of enhancing the learning of young children and building intergenerational relationships.

Experience Corps - Durham builds on the innovative work being done at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke to bring documentary methods into local classrooms. EC volunteers work with children on documentary projects designed to engage their creative imagination and provide the stimulus for the reading, writing and math skills students need to succeed in school.
