Mission Statement

Our mission is to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Don't be a Chump! Check for a Lump! educates our community on breast health awareness and prevention of breast cancer to help save lives. We also offer free wigs to breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment in Arizona.

Don't be a Chump! Check for a Lump! has two valuable programs.

1. Don't be a Chump! Check for a Lump! breast health education campgain

This began as a simple online reminder to perform breast self-exam and mammograms. We quickly discovered there is a general lack of awareness regarding breast health. We have now offer breast health presentations to women’s leagues, colleges, and participate in health fairs and expos to reach our community.

2. Wig Out - assistance wig program.

Our Wig Out program is extremely innovative! It is different from every other wig program in our state. Others operate as a wig bank with limited choices on hand. Our program is not a wig bank. Our clients have the privilege of walking into a normal wig shop and selecting any brand new wig of her choice up to $250 adn we pay the bill. We have assisted over 250 breast cancer patients with a free wig - 91 of during 2014.
