Mission Statement
National High Five Project is a different kind of charity. We use the fun of high-fives to do good, culminating on National High Five Day on the third Thursday of April each year.
Description
National High Five Day was invented in 2002 at the University of Virginia - The idea quickly spread from the local news to Jimmy Kimmel Live to the Today Show to SportsCenter - In 2010, we created the 501(c)3 charity National High Five Project and theNational High-5-A-Thon For Cancer Research - Based on the model of a fun run or dance-a-thon, participants give high-fives all day and have raised almost $50,000 for good causes. - Donations are entirely tax-deductible , and each year we choose which organizations to benefit
