RSVP connects volunteers age 55 and better with service opportunities in their communities that match their skills, talents and availability. RSVP volunteers put their unique talents to work through significant volunteer service.

Description

Make a Difference in Your Community!

You've gained a lifetime of experience. Put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP.

  • RSVP is America's largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over. Join RSVP and you join nearly 500,000 volunteers across the country who are tackling issues in their communities.
  • With RSVP, you choose how and where you want to serve. You choose the amount of time you want to give. And you choose whether you want to draw on your skills or develop new ones. In short, you find the opportunity that's right for you.
  • With RSVP, you'll receive pre-service orientation, supplemental accident and liability insurance while on duty, at no cost to you, and training from the organization where you serve.
  • RSVP of Marion County has collaborated with the Senior Institute of College of Central Florida in offering free admission to classes from the lifelong learning catalog. RSVP volunteers will receive one fee waiver per semester for an opportunity to take college level classes (on a space available basis) without the worry of tests or grades.

When you volunteer, you're not just helping others--you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends.
