RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) allows adults age 55 and older to serve their country by serving their community, matching individual skills and interests with volunteer jobs that impact critical community needs.
JOIN RSVP AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
RSVP - those letters are reminiscent of an invitation, aren’t they? The abbreviation RSVP comes from a French expression which means "please respond." RSVP is an invitation to join nearly half a million older Americans in responding to our community’s greatest needs through volunteer service.
RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for adults age 55 and over with nearly 300,000 volunteers nationwide, and is a part of Senior Corps, along with the Foster Grandparent Program and Senior Companion Program. Senior Corps is administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service, and is sponsored locally by the Athens Community Council on Aging. We offer volunteer opportunities across Northeast Georgia through agencies such as Meals on Wheels, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Piedmont CASA, Clarke County Mentor Program, Disabled American Vet Transportation Network, The Ark, the Recycling Division, and much more!
