MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A CHILD

The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors age 55 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving adults for children and youth in schools, Head Start centers, and day care centers. If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent, you must meet income eligibility guidelines. Foster Grandparents will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents serve an average of 20 hours a week serving children on a one-on-one basis. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, meal during service, an annual physical, and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
