The mission of EightCAP, Inc. is to advocate and promote the health, education, and welfare of the residents in the service area. To that end, the corporation will design, administer, and deliver programs that address the causes of poverty, alleviate its effects on our citizens, and teach self-sufficiency including the habilitation/rehabilitation, social development, and employment of mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially disabled persons.
Make a Difference in your life and in the Life of a Child
The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors age 60 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving caregivers for children and youth with special needs. If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent, you must meet income eligibility guidelines, and you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents serve a minimum of 15 hours a week in a structured setting such as local schools. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, (we can arrange transportation), a meal each day of service,an annual physical, and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions provided.
