Mission Statement
In recognition of dignity and value of every human life, the mission of Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) is to address the needs of the homeless and low-income community by providing a continuum of services to encourage self-sufficiency, empowerment, and stability.
Description
Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) has been in existence since 1984 and has been providing critical services to homeless individuals and families. Services include case management services, meals, life skills groups, shower facilities, laundry facilities, telephone access, transportation and emergency shelter. IPH is based out of Albany, NY and opened the Amsterdam shelter, Danielle’s House, in November 2011 in cooperation with St. Mary’s Hospital due to the need for emergency shelter in the area. Danielle’s House works with individuals and families in Montgomery, Fulton, Hamilton and Schoharie County to eliminate the causes of homelessness by teaching life skills and empowering individuals to become self-sufficient and reduce dependence upon public assistance.
