Mission Statement

STAGE is a not for profit organization that acts as the guardian and manager of the historic Oroville State Theatre. We aim to improve the quality of the theatre in terms of physical presence and performances. We will preserve the historic nature of the theatre while developing the demand for high art performances shown in the theatre.

Description

"STAGE" formed in 1979 as the Oroville Community Center Committee. It has been the driving force for the purchase, renovation, and restoration of the Oroville State Theatre. STAGE is currently in process of becoming more than 'guardians' of the theatre as we ask the city of Oroville to consider us as managers as well. We work on all aspects on the theatre, from maintaining the building, recruting new events and performances, collecting ticket sales and ushering events.
