Mission Statement

HealthWrights publishes books by David Werner (author of Where There Is No Doctor), such as Nothing About Us Without Us - a book on community based rehabilitation by for and with people with disabilities - as well as the Newsletter From the Sierra Madre. We also work with Project PROJIMO, a community based rehab program in Mexico, and we promote information on such projects. Our belief is that a more just world is required to improve the state of health care around the world and especially in developing countries.

We are a very small organization and have worked mainly on the power of volunteers to cover the many issues we are involved in.
