Since June 2015, I have been helping out the NC National Guard Association as a volunteer. In terms of volunteer opportunities in the Triangle, this particular one definitely ranks at the top of my list. The individuals who work here are truly dedicated to ensuring the success of the organization and its members. The staff exceeded my expectations in terms of helping me to become familiar with donor outreach, etc. With this volunteer opportunity, your work will benefit the lives of NC Guard soldiers and their families. Right now, the Association serves 16,000+ members. The members are enthusiastic about their service in the Guard, but also being a part of this organization. That says a lot. The Executive Director is A+. He has years of leadership experience in the non-profit realm and personifies the concept of servant leadership. If you love (or even just like) doing administrative work and fundraising, then, I would definitely recommend this volunteer opportunity.
