I moved to LA with the mission of helping out at an organization working with survivors of sex trafficking and for the past 3 years I have had the enjoyment of doing just that volunteering with Two Wings. Two Wings has given me the opportunity to work directly with these incredible women and get to use my skills and passions to help them walk into a new future. I have gotten to work as a life coach where I was helping participants unveil their passions and take practical steps to living their dreams. In addition, I have also gotten to work as an educational workshop facilitator and help guide these women in the basic skills they need to move into a successful, empowered life. I cannot say enough good things about Two Wings, from their mission to their leadership, it is an organization I will always stand behind. If you have a passion for these women (and how can you not?), this is the place you want to volunteer. It is the opportunity to change lives, yours included.

I have been an intern and volunteer with Two Wings for the past 3 years. After graduating from college, I had the opportunity to be a Community Relations intern for about a year and had a great experience. I later moved on to volunteer as an Education Facilitator, where I am able to share and discuss necessary life and career skills to clients. Sex trafficking is not only a global problem but also a local issue here in LA. Many sex trafficking victims don’t have mentors to provide them with a basic education such as how to dress for an interview or even how to move forward with their prospective goals. Each client has their own unique goals and dreams and Two Wings has been there to provide the motivation and support that each and every one of them needs to move forward. Through my experience, the work that Two Wings does is very important to our community and appreciated by those served.I have had very positive experiences working with Elena and all the volunteers and clients.
