Mission Statement

Game On shapes habits of success and community leadership among urban youth through quality athletic, academic, and civic engagement.

Description

Our three pronged approach to shaping habits of success and community leadership is more effective than existing sports-related character development programs. Working together, the three pillars make up the GO Program - Athletics, Academics and Civic Engagement.

Athletics: Athletics, if fostered in a positive and nourishing environment, will promote undeniably strong character traits: teamwork, respect, dedication, focus, and accountability.

Academics: Our athletes are considered student-athletes ; they understand and value the importance of higher academic standards. Using athletics as a motivational tool, coupled with ongoing individual support, our student-athletes will reach their full potential. Ultimately, the goal is to attend a respected high school and university.

Civic Engagment: Our student-athletes are identified as community leaders through their heartfelt participation in high-need service projects. As a result, neighbors, local businesses, community groups, and school organizations support our student-athletes for his or her genuine investment in their respective communities.
