Teens Stand Together

Description

We are a collection of teenaged students who serve as advisors to other adolescents in need. Unlike other 'anti-bullying' organizations, we focus on inspiring the individual to discover his or her self-worth rather than focusing on the problem exclusively. We believe it is the duty of the individual to decide to change for the better. We merely exist to guide that individual along that process. Accordingly, we do not subscribe to the belief that 'mental illness' may impair recovery as each individual posseses the capacity to change. If a situation is deemed too serious (i.e. suicidal thoughts, legal concerns) we recommend those who want our advice to local mental health professionals.
