Mission Statement

ENYC is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that empowers young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to become successful in high school and beyond. We apply a hands-on approach in working with youth to emphasize education and positive lifestyle choices. We set forth to re-establish hope within our youth, bridge generational gaps and mend a broken community back together.

Description

ENYC was established in 2000 as a Indiana 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation and a safe haven to serve at-risk youth and others in need within the Fort Wayne community. The neighborhoods surrounding our youth centre are primarily occupied by low income families and people living on fixed incomes. ENYC is only 1 of 2 centres on the South side of Fort Wayne that provides a safe environment for most children outside their homes, that come daily for friendship, mentoring, recreation, and warm meals. The purpose of ENYC is to re-establish hope within our youth, bridge generational gaps and mend a broken community back together.
