Description

Helping Hands sends doctors, nurses, dentists, and non-medical personnel to Nepal, Vietnam and Nicaragua to participate in year-round clinics and medical camps as well as in school for health education.

I have mixed feelings about this organization. First of all, things were well-organized in terms of before-trip communication, room and board and travel. However, I signed up to volunteer as a dentist, and there was no real dental work for me to do. I would recommend this organization only if you are volunteering outside of Kathmandu, and only as an MD.
