Hands On San Diego is an awesome organization. They provide an online calendar promoting volunteer events from their nonprofit partners. They also understand the importance of volunteer management and that is why they have a team leader for each of the volunteer projects. The team leader position is a great way to take volunteer service to the next level!

HandsOn SD is an online platform dedicated to connecting volunteers to meaningful projects around San Diego. We work hard to screen all projects to make sure they are impactful, and also recruit and train volunteer leaders to help manage projects for our Project Partners. We wanted to make sure potential volunteers had correct information while reading other reviews: While HandsOn has a one-time registration fee in order to help us support and sustain our technology, it has always been waived for anyone who needed it. In our new registration system, we make it even easier to get the fee waived. We openly discuss this on our site, and explain that those who are able to donate are also helping to sponsor others. We understand that everyone is in different places in life and we respect that for our volunteers. Thank you for letting us share and Happy Volunteering!

In agreement with the other comment. I'm not sure why a donation is in order before being able to volunteer.

I don't trust an organization that demands a donation before they provide any opportunities. Seems like a scam to me.

hello! my name is viktoria and by seeing my name, you can already tell that i am unique i love to help others and give to the community but it has been a struggle to get involved at 15 years old. i would love to join the program and help give back. many people are in need and there aren't many people that are needed to help the need. i hope i can soon join your team and help make the world a better place !
