The Jefferson Symphony Association provides performing opportunities for talented musicians and offers concerts and educational programs to entertain and enrich diverse audiences.

Description

The Jefferson Symphony is a 95-member volunteer orchestra performing five classical concerts during its regular season, October through May, at the Green Center auditorium on the Colorado School of Mines campus in Golden, Colorado. In addition, the orchestra performs three to five free summer concerts in the open-air parks throughout Jefferson County. New for 2007-2008 Season is a Family Concert Series aimed at introducing youngsters and the young at heart to the lighter side of classical music. JSA touched the lives of about 20,000 people during the 2005/06 fiscal year through its programs and generated approximately 26,000 hours of volunteer support, valued at over $450,000, and in-kind services valued at approximately $47,324.
