Organization Overview Since 1972, Coal Creek Meals on Wheels (CCMOW) has delivered high-quality, ready-to-eat meals every weekday to individuals and families. Daily interaction between our volunteers and clients decreases social isolation. In addition to daily weekday deliveries, CCMOW manages the Coal Creek Cafe, which provides lunch and an opportunity to socialize for up to 70 guests each weekday. Together with the cafe and delivery program, CCMOW provides 200+ meals a day serving the communities of Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Erie. CCMOW is a growing organization with highly engaged and dedicated staff, board members, and volunteers. About the Position The Research Intern is responsible for conducting research and analyzing results for process improvement and community awareness for Coal Creek Meals on Wheels. This role reports to the Volunteer Coordinator and is located in Lafayette, CO. Some remote work may be available. Key Responsibilities Research Conduct research project(s) as determined with CCMOW staff prior to the start of the internship Provide feedback on current project(s) or ideas for future projects Work closely with staff and clients to collect data Collaborate with other community organizations when necessary Input data into tracking system Analyze data and present results to CCMOW staff/Board of Directors Assist with other tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications Previous research experience (classes, internships, volunteer work, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite Desired Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Competent self-starter who will take initiative and work independently Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines Positive attitude, good people skills, and outgoing personality Compensation Eligible for class credit pending school approval Eligible for federal work study funding pending school approval Free daily lunch at the Coal Creek Café To apply, please email a cover letter, work sample, and resume to Luna Collins at lcollins@coalcreekmow.org. About the Position The Fundraising Intern provides support for all fundraising and donor relations initiatives for Coal Creek Meals on Wheels to increase fundraising capacity and success. This role reports to the Development & Marketing Director and is located in Lafayette, CO. Some remote work may be available. Key Responsibilities Administrative Assist with data entry into Salesforce relating to donations, donor information, and more Support with database clean-up (missing information, incorrect information, formatting, etc.) Create, print, and distribute tax acknowledgement letters Review and analyze fundraising data in Salesforce - create trend reports Research new and innovative fundraising strategies Support with content creation for mail, email, and social media appeals Research new grant opportunities Donor Relations Write thank you notes to donors Make thank you calls to donors Support with surveying donors Events Assist with planning and executing quarterly fundraising events Request in-kind donations from local businesses to use for silent auction/raffle items Minimum Qualifications Any relevant experience (e.g. nonprofit, marketing, social media management, communications, etc.) - paid or volunteer Strong written and verbal communication skills Creativity and ability to innovate Competent self-starter who will take initiative and work independently Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines Strong computer skills Positive attitude, good people skills, and outgoing personality Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures, and specific experience with East Boulder County communities and culture Proficiency with G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office tools Compensation Eligible for class credit pending school approval Eligible for federal work study funding pending school approval Free daily lunch at the Coal Creek Café To apply, please email a cover letter, work sample, and resume to Luna Collins at lcollins@coalcreekmow.org. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Create content for social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Research new social media outlets that could benefit outreach Utilize social media metrics to inform new content/strategy Follow the organization’s brand guidelines to ensure consistency Support with electronic newsletters and printed communications Seek opportunities to table and present at community events Create compelling communications in a storytelling format using video, photos, and other visual tools Minimum Qualifications A minimum of two years of relevant experience (e.g. nonprofit, marketing, social media management, communications, etc.) - paid or volunteer Strong written and verbal communication skills Creativity and ability to innovate Competent self-starter who will take initiative and work independently Strong organization skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines Strong computer skills Positive attitude, good people skills, and outgoing personality Sense of humor and grace under pressure Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures, and specific experience with East Boulder County communities and culture Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and Canva or other design tools.
