Mission Statement

Society Ties is a young professional volunteer network of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America (LSA). LSA's sole purpose is to find the cure for leukemia and its related cancers and improve the quality of the lives of patients and their families. Society Ties has become a tremendous resource for LSA, raising funds for research and patient services, while raising awareness of the leading form of cancers in young people.

Description

The group raises over $65,000 a year and attracts approximatley 2000 socailly acitve young professionals to our evnets. We hold an annual black tie event, a spring semi-formal, and numerous membership drives and happy hours. We also have events at local hospitals for children with leukemia.
