Mission Statement

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation is the international democratic governing body for the sport of MMA, representing MMA worldwide towards all stakeholders - athletes, coaches, referees, governments, athletic commissions, sports confederations, international organizations, professional promoters and more. Founded from within the MMA community for the MMA community, the purpose of the IMMAF is to protect and further the development and recognition of the sport of MMA on all levels, enabling international competition through the organization of non-profit, democratic national federations.

Description

From 29th June - 6th July, the International MMA Federation will be holding the first ever World Amateur Championships of MMA at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with the finals inside the UFC Fan Expo at Manderlay Bay.

The event marks not only the first international amateur competition for MMA but also the final step in the sport's bid to be recognized under Sport Accord, as part of MMA's journey towards Olympic recognition. Teams of athletes will be flying in from all corners of the globe to compete.
